The Holidays finally hit SHMA! First up, Little Godzilla - RED ZONED! You can't find this figure at MSRP anymore through the usual retailers. If you missed this one, check out your local comic-shops, this one tends to be a straggler on shelves.





Second, Godzilla Jr. - ORANGE ZONED! Amazon's remaining stock is down to 13 as of this post. This is an excellent small figure, and in my opinion, when the articulation engineering began its significant improvements. $50.99 is hard to swallow for a small figure, but if you're completionist, don't wait for a deal. As soon Amazon sells out, the remaining retailers will jack up the price.

Thirdly, Destoroyah Evolution Set - there is only ONE major retailer still selling the set at below MSRP - Image Anime. Again, for the completionist, jump on this for $84.99.

Fourthly, Godzilla 2000 Millennium [Special Color Version] is now in the YELLOW ZONE. Bluefin no longer has any remaining stock, so what's out there is all that is left!

Lastly, MFS-3 Type 3 Kiryu Mechagodzilla (2003) is on the verge of being RED ZONED. The only retailer left to sell it at MSRP is Nakama Toys at $125 shipped. Grab it because other retailers like Toy Wiz have jacked the price up to $249.99!

Godzilla (Adult Jr.) Re-Issue Now Available!

Godzilla (Adult Jr.) Re-Issue, aka Godzilla (1995) Re-Brith, was officially released October 9, 2015 after a 2 week delay. More than likely caused by Bluefin Distribution preparing for New York Comic-Con (not confirmed). There have been reports that this re-issue has a slightly darker paint job, and the figure itself uses a slightly harder plastic than the 1st edition. Most likely due to complaints of it falling apart very easily. I've noted in the PAST RELEASES section of where you can buy the 1st Edition and the 2nd Edition. These retailers that have the 2nd Edition are confirmed NOT to have any of the 1st Editions, so you don't have to worry about them getting mixed up in the warehouse/shipping process.

MOGUERA is only available through Amazon and ToyWiz. It's only a matter of time until its completely depleted. MOGUERA now enters the Orange Zone

Little Godzilla has sold out through Amazon, still available through third party sellers at a good price for the time being.

It's been a while since our last changelog, simply because the demand for the remaining figures has significantly slowed down, comparatively to 2014. Little Godzilla and the Destoroyah Evolution Set are now in the Orange Zone, but which is dwindling the fastest? Definitely get your hands on Little Godzilla. A better deal for the money spent and also only available between two big retailers, Amazon and Image Anime (with Amazon having 8 left in stock). The Destoroyah Evolution Set has completely sold out on Amazon, but is still widely available through many other retailers. I've updated the list on the Past Releases page. But now that Amazon is out of the game, these retailers will be raising their prices on the already expensive set.

Gigan has officially entered the Red Zone, but in an unusual twist, instead of the usual price hike through thirdparty sellers, it's being sold at 30% off MSRP. This because most of these sellers are shipping from Japan, where Gigan (2004) is sitting on shelves. Bargain for us here in the States. If you happen to be in Japan, you could actually pick up Gigan for about $44! Now even though the low price is available now, I don't expect it through Christmas. So use your judgement when to get it.

MFS-3 Type 3 Kiryu Mechagodzilla (2003) is now in the Yellow Zone. This means that Bluefin no longer has available stock for new shipments to other retailers. What is left at their warehouse is spoken for, most likely Amazon.

A few deals have changed here and there. The only significant price drop as of late is for Godzilla (2014), dropping as low as $44 shipped from Amazon. No doubt an effort to move it from the warehouse, especially with Godzilla (2014) Spit Fire being the better figure.

YELLOW ZONE ALERT 

It has finally happened. The Destoroyah Evolution Set is officially Yellow Zoned. The small set for big price tag has been floating around on e-tailers shelves since summer of 2013, so it had to go eventually right? What does this mean for you the consumers? Just a warning sign is all. It still packs a hefty price tag, and hardly worth it. Definitely wait for a sale through Amazon, (the lowest I've ever seen it was for $63.00). Start worrying once it hits the Orange Zone, especially if you're a completist or Destoroyah fan. If not, you can easily miss this set. Gigan's stateside debut is almost gone. Thankfully, theirs hoards of it leftover from Japan, hence the price being in the $50 range on Amazon through third party sellers.

ORANGE ZONE ALERT 

Gigan (2004) is now in the Orange Zone now that only three major online retailers carry it, Amazon, Nakama Toys, & ToyWiz. Just these last few days Gigan now has a countdown on Amazon's page at 16 pieces remaining at the time of writing this. It is unknown if Amazon has another pallet at Bluefin Distribution waiting to be sent out, or if this is the final pieces of stock left. Either way, it's a figure that you definitely don't want to miss. Amazon currently has it priced at a cool $66.55. Once it's gone, you can still order from ToyWiz and Nakama Toys, but the price is a lot closer to its original MSRP. ToyWiz will definitely inflate the price once Amazon sells out. Nakama Toys won't. Now's the time to buy if you haven't already!

Best Deal Updates 4/25

Spacegodzilla is available for a little over MSRP through Nakama Toys, $85 not including shipping.
Everywhere else has it listed for over $100 shipped, so if you haven't got your hands on this magnificent piece, now is the time! If you don't mind a used figure, there's always Mandarake which should come in at or around $70 shipped to the USA.

The existing stock of Godzilla (Adult Jr.) "Re-Birth" 1995 is depleting, but the re-issue of this figure comes this September. If you haven't purchased this figure already, it may be worth waiting a little longer for the lower priced re-issue. Eventually Amazon's price will adjust to the lower MSRP, but for now you can check out Eknightmedia or Anime Island for a lower cost pre-order of the September re-issue. Godzilla (Adult Jr) to be Re-Issued! Best Deals & Availability Updates 04/01

Destoroyah and the Battra & Mothra Larva Set are now listed in the Red Zone. Now, they are still being sold at one or two major retailers, however, they've caught on that the product is mostly unavailable, so they've increased the price over MSRP. You can probably find these at local comic shops or smaller online retailers that still carry them at MSRP or lower, but you've got to get on it now if you've waited this long.

In other news, Godzilla (Adult Jr.), aka Godzilla (1995) Rebirth, is being re-issued in Japan August 2015. North America will piggy-back off of this re-issue for a September 2015 release. It MAY be possible that it will NOT come with the Red Beam effect parts, similarly to how the Godzilla (1994) re-issue was handled. It will also come with the first edition beam effects.

Now to further explain this re-issue, it was a VERY hot selling item, especially in Japan where it sold out at most major retailers within two weeks of its release, and aftermarket prices already setting in shortly thereafter. At the same time, while it looks abundantly available in the USA, Bluefin's inventory of the figure had been spoken for within a month of its release.

Mecha-King Ghidorah Released in the USA!

It's officially released as of today, March 26, 2015! If you want it sooner than later, place your orders through ToyArena at $199 with free shipping or Anime King Collectibles at $224.99 with free shipping. If you've pre-ordered else where and it's the same price, cancel them and order from these places. Otherwise, wait about a week or two for other retailers to get them in.

Best Deal Updates 03/21

If you still haven't had a chance to purchase Destoroyah, the only major retailer that still carries it as MSRP is Gundam Planet for $149.99 shipped. Eknightmedia, BBTS, and Toywiz have all raised there prices above the MSRP.

It also looks grim for the Mothra & Battra Larva Set as the only major retailer that still has it at/below MSRP is Image Anime for $100, not including shipping. Once this retailer sells out, the Larva Set will effectively hit the RED ZONE. However, there are smaller shops that may still carry it. But don't rely on that second chance.

It's been really slow again. So slow that I didn't even bother to update the sales changelog last week. However, if you haven't had the chance to purchase the Godzilla (2014) [Poster Edition] figure through Amazon.co.jp (which is still available), and don't care about the Blu-ray content and extras, sites like Rakuten and Mandarake are selling the figure New and Used at relatviely standard SHMA prices, between $65-$80 shipped. If that's more of a bargain for you than the $135 set and figure, you may want to venture those routes.

Site & Best Deal Updates 2/15

Major site update. Unfortunately, the mobile portion of the site will no longer be supported. However, you will be able to access the desktop version of the site from your mobile device. In other news, the Gallery section will finally be expanding. Check in regularly in the coming weeks to see new photos of your favorite monsters! The reviews section is also looking to get a facelift in the coming weeks. Seeing the monster boxes were cool, but it's becoming cluttered due to the various sizes of each box. Expect a sleeker look. We're still working on something to take place of the Monster Forecast. Debating if we'll use Flash or HTML 5...

Not many changes within the market this last week. Destoroyah continues to deplete, with the Larva Set trailing behind it. Amazon no longer offers the Larva Set, however, Nakama Toys is the next best thing.

In other news, Tamashii Nations officially announced Godzilla (2014) Spit Fire Edition as a Web Exclusive in Japan. It'll receive an August 2015 release date here in NA. Stay tuned for Hi-Res photos!

It looks like it's finally come to an end with Amazon's stock for the Larva Set and Destoroyah. However, these figures are still available through other retailers. Eknightmedia still has Destoroyah at MSRP, but they're likely to fluctuate now that Amazon is completely out. I recommend purchasing over at Gundam Planet-- MSRP and FREE SHIPPING. The Larva set is still readily available through Nakama Toys at $100 shipped. Grab them if you can before they're Red Zoned!

Best Deals & Availability Update 1/31

What an uneventful week it was for SHMA's in retail. Everything is pretty much the same last week, however, stock of certain monsters continue to deplete. Destoroyah has only 4 pieces available through Amazon. It's likely to be it this time. Other retailers do have it in stock, so once Amazon is out, you'll still have a 2nd chance at it.

Previously, during the holidays, MOGUERA and Godzilla Jr. were changed to the ORANGE ZONE as a pre-caution due to Amazon counting down is limited stock. January has passed and Amazon's stock warnings have removed for both of these figures. Their availability status are being reverted back to the YELLOW ZONE... For now.

As a reminder, the Battra & Mothra Larva Set stock with Amazon gets lower every, now with only 7 pieces in stock. As stated last week, Amazon claims more is on the way, but Bluefin doesn't have anymore pieces left. So it could be a few pieces from an outstanding order, or could be a lot. Either way, the set is available through other retailers if Amazon sells completely out.

The Larva Set seems to be on it's way out. Amazon currently has 12 left in stock and claims that more are on the way... However, there's chance that more could be less or none- essentially what happened to Mothra (Adult). My advice? Grab this set if you can, it's not one that you want to miss. So for now, the Battra and Mothra Larva Set are being flagged into the Orange Zone.

In other news, Amazon has finally stocked Kiryu (2003) after fulfilling pre-orders. It's excellent figure, I recommend it!

Availability & Best Deal Updates 01/05 ORANGE ZONE ALERTS!

Some new changes in availability to kick off the new year. MOGUERA's stock continues to dwindle on Amazon, (11 in stock left). It's unknown if more will be ordered once stock is depleted, but other retailers do still carry it. Just remember, once Amazon sells out, some retailers raise their own prices since their biggest competitor is out of the game. So act soon. MOGUERA is a fantastic piece and a must have!

Destoroyah's stock on Amazon completely sold out, and thirdparty sellers already began raising the price. However, it appears Amazon may have received it's last shipment of Destoroyah with only 21 pieces left. Destoroyah is in the same shape as MOGUERA, other retailers still carrying it, etc.

Godzilla Jr.'s stock has depleted to a critical 5 pieces on Amazon. It may not be much of a figure in terms of scale and price point, but for completion's sake, its worth having in that collection of yours. Again, other retailers carry it like MOGUERA and Destoroyah, etc.

Some other figures have sold at other retailers, limiting the other options of obtaining them. This includes Gigan and Godzilla (2014).

Monster Forecast Removed :-(

After many talks and deliberations, a decision was made to take down the Monster Forecast page on the site. As some of you know I work with Tamashii Nations JP and doing so allows me to be privy to some of there internal workings, including upcoming releases. That being said, the Monster Forecast was deemed too insightful, despite the red herrings purposefully thrown in there to keep it from being a general leak of information.

I am working on something to fill this pages void, but it won't be anything that will concretely suggest something like, it could be x or y monsters. Currently looking into an interactive experience with the entire Godzilla cast of monsters.
