Destoroyah Evolution Set - Remastered and Poll Results!

Check out the Destoroyah Evolution Set - Remastered Edition! Featuring improved animation techniques that smooths motion and gives it a more sense of realism. This process was meant to be present in the original release, but wasn't applied correctly.

On another note, the poll results are in and Spacegodzilla is the winner from Round 2! MOGUERA placed 2nd and Godzilla (1995) was third. Expect Spacegodzilla's entry in January!

-Today I'm announcing a new GALLERY collection called Extreme Poses. Extreme Poses will feature unique poses of each monster utilizing the fantastic articulation they come with. These photos will be stylized featuring a hard contrast look to give them edge and the colors will be bleached. Coming soon!

Articulation Series - Kiryu

After two weeks of development, Kiryu finally enters the Articulation Series. This episode features brand new stop motion techniques featuring the smoothest motion yet. We hope to continue this new process in our future episodes. Presently, there are plans to go back and remaster/update past episodes using this technique. This episode also features a "reenactment" from a scene in "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla."

Small Updates

Few quick updates:

* Added Monster Silhouttes in the UPCOMING RELEASES section. None of these are confirmed releases. It's a fun way to speculate likely candidates for the S.H.MonsterArts line.
*Updated the UPCOMING & PAST RELEASES section now that Kiryu has been released.
*Added Kiryu into the "Darkness Collection" located in the GALLERY section.

King Ghidorah Review is up!

You voted for it, you got it. King Ghidorah makes its way into the Articulation Series!

In September 2013 a poll for the first past released S.H.MonsterArts for the Articulation Series was held. The results were close. Out of 93 votes and 13 candidates, King Ghidorah won by 1 vote over Destoroyah (Final Form).

-Changed the desktop version of the PAST RELEASES section. It now features a grid display where you can select a monster for more information, hi-res photos, and buy it now links.

Thanks for voting folks! It was pretty close between King Ghidorah and Destoroyah all the way to the end. Because of this, instead of posting the next monthly poll, King Ghidorah will get Articulated Series treatment in October and Destoroyah in November.

Voting for the next Past Released monster for the S.H.MonsterArts Articulation Series ends today (Friday, 27, 2013) @ midnight PST. The poll will be closed and votes will be tallied.

Met with Bluefin Distribution Yesterday. We talked about some cool things that are to come in future. Some news for consumers out there.

They no longer carry Godzilla (1994) and Mechagodzilla (1993) and don't know when Tamashii plans to re-issue them, (if ever).

So if you don't have these 2 figures, now is a good time to get them at their current prices before they skyrocket in the aftermarket!

Hi-Res Photos, Mobile Overhaul, and Middle-Button Function

Brand new hi-res photos added to the Upcoming Releases, Past Releases, Gallery sections, and the Destoroyah Evolution Set Review. To access these hi-res photos just click on the photo and click again once it opens in the lightbox window.  Added these promo images courtesy of Bluefin Distribution:

In order to access the full gallery of these promo shots, simply click on the single promo photo and you'll be able to scroll through. A lot of the past releases were never advertised with hi res images, so this is quite a treat.

The mobile version of the site has been overhauled to fit HD devices. The original resolution of the site was 320 x 480. The result was pixilated images on HD devices. Now the site now displays at 960 x 1440. Images are much more clear now.

Now introducing the middle-button function! An example of using it, when you click on a small image that opens in lightbox, you now have the option to click the photo using the middle-button which will open the photo in a new tab. By doing this you are also accessing the highest resolution of the photo for download.
